What's There To Do?
Caldwell and the surrounding communities may be small in size, but don't let that fool you. The number of places to visit and things to do are endless!
At the Ranch, one can choose to fish from any one of the four stocked ponds, no swimming is allowed.
The pond to the left is mainly stocked with Catfish. The other ponds are stocked with Bass, Bluegill, and Crappie.
There are plenty of trails to explore on the Ranch by foot, bike, or ATV. Enjoy the sights and sounds of nature and the abundant wildlife found in the 300+ wooded acres of Ranch grounds.
Make sure to bring your camera along to capture the beauty of the land. You wouldn't want to miss that once in a lifetime chance of photographing a majestic buck in his natural habitat as the sun is just starting to fall over the tree toped hills in the background.
Downtown Caldwell is just minutes away from the Ranch. Caldwell has plenty to offer our visitors from shopping, dozens of restaurants, night life, and a 9 hole golf course. The golf course is located on the grounds of the Cooperas Hollow Country Club.
If you are into staying fit and working out, Main Street Gym has a full line of workout equipment. They are located in downtown Caldwell.

There are several museum's to visit in the area as well. The Burleson County Historical Museum pictured to the right, will take you back in time to visit the wild , wild, west. There is also the Caldwell Visitors Museum, Kraitcher House Museum, and the Somerville Area Museum.
There are also several old houses and plantations that have been preserved and restored and are open to the public for visiting. Such as the Caldwell's Victorian Historical House, Petrified Wood Houses, Kraitchar House, and the Somerville's Historical House.
Lake Sommerville is just 15 minutes to the south of Caldwell. Lake Sommerville has 11,630 acres of water surface and 85 miles of shore lines providing water enthusiast hours of fishing, boating, skiing, and swimming entertainment. 
For the nature enthusiast, there are over 20 miles of trails to hike, bike, backpack, and equestrian trails (horses not provided). There are several camping sites around the lake both primitive and modern.
Take time to stop and have a picnic at one of the many picnic areas. Watch the wildlife or bird watch from one of the lake's reservation areas.
